The FIRM’s Rally‑X Series accelerates your rally racing journey with action-packed events designed for drivers of all levels. Whether you’re looking for an affordable entry into rally racing or a launchpad for professional stage rally, the series puts you in the driver’s seat. Tackle surface changes, conquer forest stages, and master European-style jumps while sharpening your skills.

Experienced drivers use Rally‑X to test vehicle performance and refine techniques for national competitions. Each event challenges you with mixed surfaces—sand, gravel, dirt, lime-rock, and tarmac—forcing you to adapt and strategize. Maximize your seat time, enhance vehicle control, and take your driving skills to the next level with The FIRM’s Rally‑X Series! Rally‑X experience is not required for the regular circuit; however advanced rally or stage experience is required for forest stages.

2026 RALLY-X EVENT SCHEDULE
Round 1: Saturday, February 21st
Round 2: Saturday, May 23rd
Round 3: Saturday, August 22nd
Round 4: Saturday, November 21st

EVENT HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Four‑event points series with cumulative scoring and championship prizes.
  • 3–5 runs per class per day with 1–3 laps per run.
  • Timing via MYLAPS with live updates when available.
  • Events run RAIN or SHINE
  • Earn Series Championship Points.
  • Different course variation each event.
  • Tons of seat time!
  • Official on-site media provided by RJM Media.

VEHICLE REQUIREMENTS & CLASSIFICATION

  • Drivers are responsible for reviewing all vehicle and SxS safety requirements.
  • Vehicles will be divided into three main categories which will consist of Stock, Open and Buggy categories.  Within these categories, cars will be divided into 2 classes.

Side‑By‑Side (SxS) Specific Requirements

  • Full roll cage required
  • Driver and passenger must have wrist restraints or window nets
  • Full-face helmet with goggles or shield required
  • Motorcycle helmets are permitted for SxS vehicles ONLY

Cars: 

  • MUST have SA2015 or newer helmets. Note, beginning in 2026, cars must have SA2020 helmets or newer. 

VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION:

  • Name/Car/Class MUST be accurate in MSR when registering. The FIRM is not liable for any discrepancies. 
  • All vehicles must display their vehicle number at every event.  
  • Background and letter/number must contrast & be clearly visible.
  • Painter’s tape will be available on site for those who do not have magnets, decals or number backers.
  • Failure to meet regulations may result in incorrect lap times or DNF
  • Drivers must provide/install their own numbers/letters prior to Technical Inspection.

TECHNICAL INSPECTION

  • All vehicles must go through Technical Inspection prior to competition at every event.
  • Pass/Fail: Only vehicles that have passed Technical Inspection may enter the event course.   
  • Vehicles must meet all requirements.  Tech form is available HERE
  • Competitors and their cars MUST be on-site 15 minutes before the close of Tech Inspection in order to be allowed to compete.
  • Late arrivals may be denied entry

Event requirements

MINIMUM CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFICATIONS

  • Rally-X experience is not required for the regular circuit.
  • Rally-X, Rally Course or Stage Rally experience will be required to compete on our rally stages.  
  • Driver’s must attend a minimum of three (3) of the four (4) events to qualify for points in the championship.
  • Driver’s points will be taken from the best three (3) of the four (4) events when totalling the cumulative score for the season. In the event of a tie breaker- scores from the fourth event will be added in to the drivers cumulative score.
  • Classes must have at least two (2) entries per event in order for the class to qualify for the season championship points and prizes.  
  • Any driver who attends all four (4) events during the season will automatically qualify for the season championship.
  • Driver’s may not switch classes to help another class qualify. 
  • There will be a 10 second penalty for late arrivals. 
  • Class winners are determined by the lowest cumulative time after all penalties are applied and all runs are completed per each event.
  • Season Points will be awarded to each driver regardless of the number of competitors in their class during an event.  
  • Championship prizes will be announced and awarded for winners at the end of the season and may vary year to year.
  • Cumulative point winners will be announced at the end of the championship series.

VEHICLE REQUIREMENTS

  • Loose Items: All loose items in the vehicle must be removed during the event. Snap-on hubcaps, detachable fender skirts and trim rings must be removed. 
  • Tires: Tires must be in good condition, with no cord or belts showing or cracks in the tread of sidewalls. 5/32” Minimum tire tread. 
  • Vehicle Condition: Mechanical conditions and safety of the vehicle is the sole responsibility of the Competitor.
  • Body Panels: All vehicles must have all doors attached, as well as full roofs, or comply with the current convertible requirements.
  • Windscreens: Front windscreens must be void of large visible cracks, specifically any damage possibly blocking the driver’s view.  
  • Battery: Tie-downs are required. 
  • Wheel Studs: Must be in place w/ALL lug nuts .
  • Roll Cages: Preferred.  Vehicles with at least a proper rear cage will be allowed to experience more off-road terrain and forest stages. 
  • UTVs/Side-By-Side: Full cage and driver/passenger wrist restraints or side nets are required.  
  • Modifications: Subject to scrutineer approval and scrutineer sole discretion. 
  • Tow Hook: A minimum of one tow hook is required to be installed on the front or rear of the vehicle. Tow hook MUST be highly visible and painted with a bright color such as yellow or orange etc.  We highly recommend installing tow hooks on both the front and rear of the vehicle.  
  • Damages: The FIRM staff has the right to accept or deny removal of any damaged vehicle off-course at the stewards discretion. 
  • Liability: The FIRM is not liable to any vehicle damage on or off the course.  The FIRM is not liable to any potential damage to a vehicle that has to be safely removed from the course by staff. 
  • Exclusions: Organizers reserve the right to exclude any vehicle or person from further participation on the event at any time for reasons of perceived safety concerns involving the condition of the vehicle or the conduct of the person.
